THE CENTER
The HEARTLAND MEDICAL AND DIAGNOSTIC CENTER is an institution devoted to the delivery of QUALITY healthcare to its patients and clients. Established in 1997, it is duly registered with the Department of Trade and Industry under Cert. No. 00819678.
Through the years, Dr. Romeo Tatlonghari Jr., who is its single proprietor and Medical Director, it has been able to build and expand the scope of medical services the Center can deliver. The Center in its prime location near in Paco Market has provided the immediate community the benefit of the sophisticated medical diagnostic facilities as well as the services of medical specialist. The center has also been able to give these medical consultants a venue where they can practice their expertise and be able to serve the community as well on a socialized level.
Service to the community and enhancement of the quality of healthcare delivery has always been its goal since the beginning. This is best exemplified by the Center serving as host and proponent of one of the longest existing Diabetic Clubs in the Philippines, the Control Blood Sugar Club, Inc. With the support of pharmaceutical companies, the Center has been able to provide FREE blood sugar screening and check-ups to patients who are afflicted with this disease. At present the club has more than 300 members. Furthermore, with the use of its customized mobile x-ray van and modern laboratory equipment, the Center has been able to raise the level of quality of on-site medical physical examinations badly needed in the industrial sector who are honestly concerned about the medical well being of their employees.
Having proven itself as a reliable and quality-driven ambulatory medical center, Heartland Medical and Diagnostic Center is now involving itself actively in uplifting the standards of healthcare in the maritime industry. It hopes to become the model for DOH –Philippine Council for Accreditation Healthcare Organization (PCAHO) through the implementation of ISO standards of quality. This is best exemplified by its mission-vision and quality policy.
